This is my FAVORITE breakfast smoothie. It tastes delicious and keeps me full until lunchtime. Don't skip the almond extract--it really adds some great flavor! This is my FAVORITE breakfast smoothie. Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or you could use whatever milk you like)
    1 cup frozen dark sweet cherries (WITHOUT added sugar)
    1 scoop (1/4 cup) chocolate whey protein powder (I use EAS brand, but I've also used Carnation Instant Breakfast. I imagine you could also use hot chocolate mix)
    Dash of almond extract (about 1/8-1/4 tsp)
    4-6 ice cubes

Directions

Combine all in a blender and blend on high until smooth. Makes about 24 fluid ounces--a very filling serving!
