This is alswyas moist and very flavorful This is alswyas moist and very flavorfulNumber of Servings: 12
Ingredients
-
3 lbs. hamburger (I use 80% lean)
Beef broth (low sodium)
1 cup instant mashed potatoes
2 tbsp Dehydrated Onion Flakes(if you don't mind the sodium you can use Lipton's onion soup mix)
1 egg
Ketchup
Mustard
1/4c. milk
Directions
Place hamburger in a bowl. pour 1/2 can of beef broth over it, set aside.
beat together milk, egg, mustard, ketchup, garlic and onion in a small bowl. pour over the hamburger.
Squish liquid mixture into hamburger until well mixed.
Add potato flakes a little at a time. Squish together until all moisture is absorbed, but the mixture is very sticky. Place mixture in a meatloaf pan, forming until uniform.
Bake at 350F for 2 hours. (After 1.5 hours I remove and pour grease off, and add ketchup to the top.)
Please note, I rarely measure so the garlic powder is usually 4-5 shakes, and the onion flakes about 2-3 shakes. If you are a salt addict. You prabaly want garlic salt instead of garlic powder, and I like to add black pepper about 2 shakes)
