Everyday Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

    Del Monte Diced Tomatoes, No Salt Added, 6 cup
    --or 12 medium Roma tomatoes, boiled skinned and diced

    *Extra Light Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
    Garlic, 4 cloves
    Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)
    Carrots, raw, 1 medium
    Celery, raw, 2 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long)
    Tomato Paste, .25 can (6 oz)
    Oregano, ground, 1 tbsp
    Basil, 8 leaves
    *chilli pepper or crushed pepper, 1 tsp
    *Honey (Aunt Sue's Raw-Wild Natural), 1 tbsp
    *Salt, Redmond All Natural Sea Salt, .5 tsp
    *Black Pepper, ground, 2 tsp

Directions

Heat oil over med heat; saute garlic, carrot, onion, celery until softened.

Add tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, and chile flakes. Bring to boil; reduce heat to med-low. Simmer 45 min to one hour, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat; blend mixture. Add honey, salt and pepper.
