Apple Oatmeal

Introduction

Old Fashioned oatmeal with apples, raisins, cinnamon and brown sugar. Old Fashioned oatmeal with apples, raisins, cinnamon and brown sugar.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    3 1/2 cups water
    2 medium apples, peeled cored and diced
    2 oz raisins
    2 cups old fashioned Oats
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/3 cup brown sugar, packed

Directions

Peel, core and dice apples into small pieces - no larger than 1/2 inch. Bring water, apples and raisins to boil. Add oats and cinnamon and cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally.

Makes 10 1/2 cup servings. Can be made at the beginning of the week and reheated in the microwave in the morning.

Can substitute brown sugar with brown sugar Splenda blend if desired.
