Sylvia's Green Split Pea Soup

Introduction

Delicious on those cold dreary winter days! Delicious on those cold dreary winter days!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    16 oz. Dry split green peas
    32 oz 99% fat-free chicken broth
    I medium onion, coarsely chopped
    1 1/2 c. raw carrots, coarsely chopped
    water

Directions

Combine all ingredients in large pot or crock pot. Add 32 oz water to begin. Bring to a boil on high heat. Turn heat to low and simmer, covered, stirring frequently and adding water as needed, for 1 hour or until peas and vegetables are the desired softness. About 8 servings
