Sesame Chicken

Introduction

The servers at our favorite (non-buffet) chinese restaurant already know what my husband wants. Sesame Chicken - extra broccoli. I've developed this as a great low-cal alternative to his favorite.

Another benefit, is that this recipe stretches three chicken breasts into dinner for 5!
The servers at our favorite (non-buffet) chinese restaurant already know what my husband wants. Sesame Chicken - extra broccoli. I've developed this as a great low-cal alternative to his favorite.

Another benefit, is that this recipe stretches three chicken breasts into dinner for 5!

Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    1 lb Chicken breast - no skin - cut into bite sized pieces
    1/4 C honey
    1/4 C soy sauce
    3 T Sesame Seeds
    1 T Corn Starch (for thickening)

Directions

Heat pan with just enough oil to prevent chicken from sticking. Add chicken to pan and cook till nearly done.

(You may add some water if the sauce gets too thick for you and/or you would like to make it stretch farther.)

Mean while mix honey, soy sauce, and corn starch in separate bowl. (This serves a couple of purposes including keeping the corn starch from clumping).

When chicken is nearly done, add liquid misture and simmer till chicken is completly cooked through.

Add sesame seeds.

Serve with steamed broccoli and brown rice.
