1) 5 lb. bag of potatoes 2 tbs. garlic salt 4 tbs. butter
Peel potatoes, rinse potatoes, place potatoes in boiling water. Turn heat down to medium-high on pot of potatoes. Let boil for 30-45 minutes, or until mostly tender. Drain water. Cut potatoes into about 1" x 1" pieces. Start a large skillet with 4 tbs. butter, let melt. Add 2 tbs. garlic salt, mix together. Finally add potatoes to skillet, while turning heat all the way up. *The key to cooking home-fries is "rocket-ship heat"...never turn the heat down* You may start other breakfast items at this point. Cook about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
