Tink's Crockpot Cabbage Chili

Introduction

This is the meat added version of Tinkerspell's hearty, crockpot chili. Serve with a wedge of cornbread. Too tame? Add some jalepenos and other fiery peppers to the mix! Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
    1 large can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
    1 bag slaw mix
    1 can diced tomatoes
    1 large can of Low-Sodium V8
    1 large onion
    1 large bell pepper
    16 oz lean ground turkey
    2 T chili powder*
    1 tsp cumin*
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 dash cinnamon

    * Or use your favorite chili spice blend

Directions

Spray skillet with olive oil flavored cooking spray. Saute onion, pepper, and turkey until meat is cooked and vegetables slightly tender. Add to crockpot.

Add all other ingredients to meat mixture and stir. Cook in crockpot on low 6-8 hours.

Makes 8 - 1.5 cup servings.
