Pepper Steak Stir Fry

Introduction

This has always been one of my favorite recipes from growing up. My mom used to make it with round steak but I like it better with a more tender cut. It is so simple to prepare and so full of flavor! This has always been one of my favorite recipes from growing up. My mom used to make it with round steak but I like it better with a more tender cut. It is so simple to prepare and so full of flavor!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 lb london broil cut into 1/4 inch slices
    1 green pepper, chopped.
    1 red pepper, chopped.
    1 onion sliced
    2 tsp olive oil
    1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
    1 tsp salt

Directions

Heat olive oil in dutch oven over med-high heat. Add onions, green pepper and red pepper. Cook until onions are transparent. Add steak, cover and cook until steak is no longer pink, stirring frequently. Add tomato sauce and allow to come to simmer. Lower heat to low-med and cook, covered, until steak is tender, about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add salt. Stir. Serve over rice. Makes 4 servings.
