Wheat flax waffles

Introduction

***Reworked the servings on this because my waffle iron made 8 giant waffles. ***Reworked the servings on this because my waffle iron made 8 giant waffles.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    3/4 cup whole wheat flour
    3/4 cup white flour
    1/4 teaspoon stevia or 2 tablespoons sugar
    3 teaspoons baking powder
    2 tablespoons flax seeds
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 cups milk
    1/8 cup melted butter

Directions

1. Mix dry ingredients.
2. Mix wet ingredients separately.
3. Mix dry and wet together whisk until smooth.
4. Pour about 3/4 of a cup of batter at a time onto the waffle iron.
5. You will begin to see steam coming out of the iron.
6. Cook the waffles until the steam is almost gone.
7. Any waffles we don't eat right away get put into the freezer, and we pop them in the toaster for a quick breakfast or snack.

Yields 8 large square waffles in a waffle iron.
