Sweet-Glazed Lite Tofu Cutlets w/Lower Sodium

Introduction

I modified user FirstJudyEver recipe to what I had on hand and to meet my lower sodium goals with Lite Tofu. Also did it as 4 servings instead of 8 I modified user FirstJudyEver recipe to what I had on hand and to meet my lower sodium goals with Lite Tofu. Also did it as 4 servings instead of 8
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 lb. lite firm tofu, drained
    1 T. canola or vegetable oil
    1 t. sesame oil
    2 T. maple syrup or agave nectar
    2 T. soy sauce 37% less sodium
    2 T. sherry or dry red wine (can sub rice wine)
    2 scallions, sliced, for garnish

Directions

Cut the tofu into 8 equal slices, and pat each slice down well with a paper towell. Mix all wet ingredients together well, then add to a heated skillet. Add the tofu to the skillet and turn each slice immediately, so that each slice is coated on either side. Continue cooking, turning occasionally, until each side is browned and the tofu is thoroughly cooked.

Serving: 2 slices
