Lisa's Fried Rice Pilaf

Introduction

A Tasty Side dish when your family is craving Chinese. A Tasty Side dish when your family is craving Chinese.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
    1 large Onion
    1 large carrot
    1 C frozen peas
    2 cans sliced water chestnuts
    4 C Cooked long grain white rice
    2 Tbs Reduced sodium soy sauce

Directions

Cook Rice as directed. While Rice is cooking, Chop Onions and carrots. Cook/Thaw peas in Microwave. Heat Sesame Oil in Frying pan, Add Onion and Carrot. Cook until onions are almost translucent. Add Water Chestnut and thawed Peas. Stir. Add cooked Rice. Cover pan and heat on med low until hot - approx 10 minutes. Add Soy Sauce as served.
