Ingredients

    1 lb. Honeysuckle Italian Turkey Sausage Links
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    2 medium onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 tsp. fennel seeds
    1 tblsp. basil
    1 tsp. McCormick Italian seasoning
    2 cans Hunt's diced tomatoes with basil, garlic & oregano, low sodium
    1 box Swanson's beef broth, low sodium, about 4 cups
    8 oz. tomato sauce, low sodium
    3 tbsp. tomato paste
    2 1/2 cups of Barilla Plus Rotini
    8 tbsp. shredded parmesan cheese

Directions

Put sausage in a large saucepan and cook until no longer pink. While cooking, add the green pepper and onion. When meat mixture is ready, add the spices, tomato sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, and beef broth. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Add rotini and cook for additional 10-12 minutes. Makes 8 services, 1 1/4 cups each. Top each serving with 1 tbsp. of shredded parmesan cheese.
