Whole wheat pizza dough

Introduction

Basic, quick, easy pizza dough! Seriously, you can have tasty, homemade pizza in 40 minutes! Basic, quick, easy pizza dough! Seriously, you can have tasty, homemade pizza in 40 minutes!
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1 package active, dry yeast
    1 tbsp sugar
    1 tsp salt
    2 tbsp vegetable oil
    1 cup warm water

Directions

Preheat oven to 375.

Activate yeast (some say you don't have to do this, but I prefer to make sure my yeast works before wasting flour) by mixing 1 cup warm water, yeast packet, and sugar. Set aside for five minutes.

Mix flours, oil, salt in large bowl. When yeast is ready, pour into bowl with flour.

Knead dough until to becomes sticky (might need to add a bit more water here), then roll out and put on greased pan.

Bake for 7 minutes, until crust sets. Then cover with toppings of your choice. Put pack in oven and cook until crust is golden - about 17 more minutes.

Rolled thin, this can make 12 servings.
