Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

1 lb package of ground beef, pork , veal- the "meatloaf mix"
    1 box elbow macaroni (cooked)
3 cans Delmonte Stewed Tomatoes (14.5 oz)
    1 medium onion
    2 cloves garlic
    1 tbs dried basil
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste

Directions

This makes a Ton of food, & it's a kid friendly recipe, that has secret veggies in it.

Boil pasta.

I brown ground meat in a wok, but any Large fry pan will do.

Chop onion somewhat finely in Cuisanart & add to browning meat, add crushed garlic.

Process stewed tomatoes until liquid, add to drained beef, onion mixture.
Add basil & salt (I like kosher).

Simmer 5 mins covered, add cooked pasta.
Stir together & let "marry" for a few minutes.

Serve with freshly grated Pecorino Romano Cheese~ heats up great the next day, too!

*Note: Some people also add green bell pepper, but I changed our recipe so my daughter would eat it when she was little.
Now it's tradition!
