Ingredients

1 tbsp cumin seeds
2tsp ground cumin
3 tbsp olive oil
2-3 arbol chilies, optional *also could use any smaller hot chili like a jalepeno
2 medium onion, sliced
3 tbsp ground coriander
2 tbsp minced ginger
1 tbsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cayenne
salt&pepper, to taste
6 tomatoes from a can of whole peeled, plus half the liquid
1 1/2 lb shrimp
1 cup plain yogurt
cilantro, chopped for garnish
Directions
Cook chilies and cumin seeds in oil until fragrant, 30 seconds. Add onion and sautee until soft and browned, 5min. Add spices through salt and pepper, sautee 3 min. Add tomatoes and juice and cook until soft, 3 min.
Add shrimp and sautee until just opaque. Lower heat and add yogurt. Gently heat mixture. Garnish with cilantro and chilies
