Introduction

AKA Beef macaroni - Great comfort food - used to get this as a school lunch - easy to prepare after working all day. I use an electric fry pan and usually have leftovers for a quick lunch another day. Is lower carb due to dreamfield's macaroni - Recipe serves four generously. Ingredients

    1 lb ground beef
    14 oz can small diced tomatoes
    7 oz can tomato sauce
    1 green pepper
    1/2 small onion
    16 oz. dry macaroni
    salt & pepper to taste
    optional: fresh basil and oregano
    optional; Grated cheese to garnish

Directions

Chop onions & peppers and quick cook in microwave on paper plate - about 1 1/2 minutes - set aside
Fry hamburg and drain off excess fat
Add peppers & onions
Add canned tomatoes
Add tomato sauce
Add spices
Let simmer about 30 minutes - may add water as needed
About 15 minutes before sauce is done, heat salted water to cook macaroni.
When boiling, add a drop of oil to water
Add macaroni - stirring for 1st minute to ensure no sticking.
Follow pkg directions for cooking time (about 10 minutes)
Add cooked macaroni to sauce and let combine for a few minutes.
