Ingredients

    4 BONELESS SKINLESS CHICKEN BREASTS
    1 TBSP DRIED ONION FLAKES
    1.5 CUPS APPLESAUCE, CINNAMON OR NATURAL
    1 TBSP APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
    2.5 TSP GARLIC SALT
    (1/4 TSP GROUND CINNAMON, UNLESS YOU USE CINNAMON FLAVORED APPLESAUCE)

    *SLOW COOKER
    1/2 TSP BLACK PEPPER
    1/4 TSP CRUSHED RED PEPPER FLAKES (OPTIONAL)

Directions

PUT THE CHICKEN IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SLOW COOKER.
IN A SMALL BOWL, COMBINE THE REMAINING INGREDIENTS.
POUR OVER THE CHICKEN
COVER AND COOK ON LOW FOR 5-7 HOURS, OR ON HIGH FOR 3-4 HOURS.

  • I just made this & it was very good! I wasn't sure how the applesauce would taste combined w/ the other ingredients, but I really liked this dish. My husband didn't care for it, but then again, we've been together 18 yrs & he picked tonight's dinner to say he doesn't care for applesauce... Go figure - 1/30/11
