Sugar Free Vanilla Ice Cream Base

Introduction

24 ounce base recipe for the Hamilton Beach Half Pint Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker. I use fat free and light ingredients and a sugar substitute. 24 ounce base recipe for the Hamilton Beach Half Pint Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker. I use fat free and light ingredients and a sugar substitute.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    2 cups fat free half and half
    1 cup light whipping cream
    6 packets Truvia (or no calorie equivalent to 1/4 cup sugar)
    1 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

Directions

Combine ingredients in a one quart container with a tight fitting lid. Shake until sugar substitute is dissolved. Keep refrigerated. Base will last a week.

When making the ice cream:

Pour 6-12 ounces of ice cream base into freezer bowl. Turn motor on. Once the mixture starts to thicken, turn the motor off, remove lid, and add your favorite mix-in (not included in nutritional info). Replace the lid; then restart the motor.

Base makes six 4 ounce servings.
