Southwestern broccoli cheese soup (Taste of Home)

Ingredients

4 C water
4 tsp chicken bouillon granules - reduced sodium
4 C broccoli florets
3 C frozen Southern-style hash browns
1 C chopped carrots
1 C celery
1/2 tsp each salt and pepper
3 TB all-purpose flour
2 C fat free milk
6 oz. reduced fat velveeta cheese
1 C salsa
Directions
In large sauce pan, combine the water, bouillon cubes, veggies , salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 8-10 mins. or until the veggies are tender.
Combine flour and milk until smooth; gradually stir into the soup. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 min. or until thickened. Reduce heat to low. Add cheese; cook and stir until cheese is melted. Add salsa; cook and stir until heated through.
