Puffed Oven Pancake

Introduction

Delicious as is, no syrup necessary! Delicious as is, no syrup necessary!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    2 T. butter
    3 eggs
    1/2 C. flour
    1/2 C. 1% milk
    1/4 t. salt
    1 T. white sugar
    1 T. powdered sugar

Directions

Place butter in a 10in oven proof skillet (I used cast iron) for 3-5 minutes at 400 until melted. Mix remaining ingredients (except for powdered sugar) with wire whisk until well combined and lump free. Pour immediately into the hot skillet. Bake about 25 minutes until puffed and well browned. Sift powdered sugar over the top and cut into 6 slices. YUM!

  • i've done this many times. after i put the batter in the hot skillet, i put bananas or sliced thin apple with a little cinnamon sugar[i use splenda] then bake about 10 minutes on 325. enjoy!! - 2/1/11

    Yum! I just sliced banana over my piece after it was on my plate. Delish! And it's so pretty when it comes out of the oven. ;)
