MK Teriyaki Ginger Chicken (1 serving = 100g)

Introduction

Great when cut into long strips and threaded onto bamboo skewers (we call it chicken on a stick), or cut into smaller pieces for a stir fry. On a stick, these make great snacks for kids and adults alike. Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    400g chicken breasts, no skin
    6 tbsp teriyaki sauce
    2 tsp ginger root, grated
    1 garlic clove, minced

Directions

Makes 4, 100g servings. Depending on use, cut chicken either in long strips or in smaller stir fry pieces. In a large bowl, mix the teriyaki, ginger root and garlic. Add the chicken pieces and mix to coat. Cover and set aside from 15 minutes to several hours.

For chicken on a stick: Soak bamboo skewers in water for 1 hour. Thread chicken pieces on the skewers. Broil or grill for about 20 minutes, making sure the chicken is well cooked.

For stir fry: Dump the lot in a pan with a little bit of hot oil. Stir fry until done. Remove from heat. Cook your veggies than add the chicken back to the pan. Stir.
