Introduction

Healthy Homemade Nutty Granola. This is also yummy if you add dried fruit. I toss it in with the serving I package for each day, to keep the granola from getting too moist from the fruit. Ingredients

    Ingredients:
    Old Fashioned Quaker Oatmeal- Plain 6 cups
    Almonds, 1 cup, whole (rough chopped)
    Pecans, 1 cup, halves (rough chopped)
    Pumpkin Seeds 1/2 cup
    Flax Seed, 8 tbsp
    Wheat germ, crude, .33 cup
    Bob's Red Mill Whole Ground Flaxseed Meal, 6 Tbs
    coconut fresh, shelled, 4 oz
    Applesauce, unsweetened, 1 cup
    Honey, .5 cup
    Molasses .25 cup
    Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Kirkland 2 Tbsp
    Splenda Granulated 4Tbsp
    Cinnamon, ground, 1 tbsp
    Ginger, ground, 1 tbsp
    Salt, .5 tsp
    Splenda 4Tbsp
    Crisps - Asian Pears (1 oz per container- 4 servings, These are freeze dried Asian Pears)
    Chili powder - 1Tbsp
    Cayenne Pepper - 1tsp

Directions

Mix dry ingredients together, except for spices... Crush the freeze dried pears and add to the dry ingredients.

if you are adding additional dried fruit, not noted in this receipe, it is added last - after baking. (Don't forget to count the added calories as well : )

Mix wet ingredients together with spices and salt, then mix into the dry ingredients.Spread onto 2 baking dishes. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until evenly brown, stirring every 10 minutes. Store in the refrigerator.
