Easy Lentil Soup

Ingredients

    * 1 (16-oz.) pkg. dry lentils
    * 8 cups water
    * 1 (28-oz.) can tomatoes, undrained, cut up
    * 1 cup chopped onions
    * 1 cup chopped carrots
    * 1 cup chopped celery
    * 1 teaspoon ground cumin
    * 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
    * 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a large pot or dutch oven.
Bring to a boil.
