Formosan Fried Cabbage

Introduction

Ingredients

    1 medium cabbage chopped into 1-2" squares
    4-6 slices bacon, cut into small rectangles
    3 T. soy sauce
    1/3 cup chopped onion

Directions

Put bacon pieces in cold Dutch oven and turn heat to medium-high. Stir every minute or so, until fat coats bottom of pan. Add onions and cook them along with bacon for 5 minutes.

Add cabbage to pan and stir around. Cabbage will wilt down quite a bit. Add soy sauce and cook for 15 minutes with cover off, stirring every 5 minutes, when cabbage reaches desired consistency.
