Introduction

Great Scottish side dish for anything. Lots of vitamins! Great Scottish side dish for anything. Lots of vitamins!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    2 c. chopped raw carrots
    1 c. cubed raw turnips
    1/4 c. baked yam
    1 tbsp salt
    2 tbsp butter

Directions

Chop the carrots and turnips and place them in a pot with ample water and the salt. Boil until soft.
Add butter and mash coarsely.

Makes sides for six.

  • I like turnips and carrots, so this was something a bit different to try. I would probably add just a little seasoning next time, other than salt and pepper that I used. - 6/17/08
