Bob's Vanishing Quaker Oats' Cookies

Ingredients

    1/2 C or 1 stick butter + 6 Tbsp softened
    3/4 C Brown Sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 C Granulated sugar
    2 Eggs
    1 tsp Vanilla
    1.50 C All Purpose Flour
    1 tsp Baking Soda
    1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
    1/2 tsp Salt (Optional)
    3 C Quaker (quick or old fashioned uncooked oats
    1 C Raisins and 1 C chopped walnuts

Directions

1. Heat oven to 350. In large bowl, beat butter and sugars on medium speed of electric mixer until creamy.
2. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
3. Add combined flour, baking soda,cinnamon, and salt.
Mix well.
4. Add oats, raisins, and walnuts. Mix well.
5. Drop dough by rounded Tablespoons onto ungreased
cookie sheets.
6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool
1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to wire rack and cool
completely. Store in tightly covered container.
7. MAKES ABOUT 48 COOKIES
