Tuna Noodle Casserole

Submitted by: SHUFFMAN126

Introduction

This is my family's basic recipe for tuna noodle casserole. The yolk-free noodles make it low in cholesterol, and the tuna makes it high in protein. This is my family's basic recipe for tuna noodle casserole. The yolk-free noodles make it low in cholesterol, and the tuna makes it high in protein.

Ingredients

1 12 oz can Bumblebee Albacore Tuna in water
1 can of cream of mushroom soup (any cream based soup will work here, cream of chicken, cream of celery, etc)
8 oz of Skim Milk. (read, 1 empty soup can filled with milk)
    1 bag of yolk-free noodles

1 bowl or pot to mix soup, milk and tuna in
    1 9x13 pan

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 pan with non-stick cooking spray
2. Cook noodles according to bag instructions (usually 7-8 minutes)
3. While the noodles are boiling, In a bowl or pot, mix the cream of mushroom soup, skim milk and tuna. This is the most fun step, because you can add other things to the recipe if you like here. Frozen veggies, cheese, garlic, etc. (although if you are making it for weight loss I would forgo the cheese :( )
4. When the noodles are done, drain, rinse and then spread out into the 9x13 pan. Then pour the tuna/soup mixture over the noodles, making sure all the noodles get covered.
5. Cook uncovered for 30 minutes

Recipe makes 12 servings.
