Turkey Chili

Ingredients

2 T. olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
2 T. minced garlic
1/2 lb. ground turkey
1 1/2 c. cooked black beans
1 1/2 c. cooked navy or white beans
2 cans, 12 oz. each, petite diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can, 12 oz., tomato sauce
1 package dry chili mix (not included in nutritional info)*
Soy sauce, salt and Worcestershire sauce to taste
Directions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until soft. Add ground turkey and cook until no longer pink.
Place onion, turkey and garlic into a 5-quart slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients and stir thoroughly. Season to taste, but keep in mind that flavors will intensify as it cooks. Cook on low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
Makes 6 1-cup servings.
*I did not include the chili seasoning mix in the nutritional facts because I use a low sodium variety and could not find it in the database. Sadly I threw the package away before entering it. Keep in mind that the nutritional facts may be slightly off based on the chili seasoning.
