Sweet Roll Bread

Introduction

Number of Servings: 60

Ingredients

    1 c warn water
    3 c scalded milk (cool to lukewarm)
    1 c sugar
    4 eggs
    1/2 c flour
    4 pks dry yeast
    3 (or 4) tsp salt
    1 c shortening

Directions

Dissolve yeast in water. Add milk, sugar, salt, eggs, shortening and 6 cups of the flour. Mix with a whip or spoon until smooth. Add enough flour to handle easily. Turn out onto lightly floured board or countertop. Kneed unti lsmooth (approx 5 min). Place in greased bowl and cover with a cloth. Let rise in warm place until double, about 1.5 hours. Punch down and shape into buns or loaves and let raise for approximately 1 hour. Bake at 350F. For buns (20-25 min) or Loaves (30-35 min), or until top of crust is golden brown. Butter the top while till hot.
