White cream gravy

Introduction

This is a lower fat version of cream gravy. Great over biscuits in the morning or with Chicken strips or any other instance you might want some with your meal. Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    2 cups nonfat/skim milk
    6 tsp white flour
    2 TBSP unsalted butter
    2 tsp extra light olive oil
    1 tsp salt
    2tsp black pepper

Directions

Put butter and olive oil in the skillet. Heat over medium high heat until butter is melted. Add flour and stir quickly until you get a thin pasty substance. Stir in salt and pepper. Stir in milk using a slotted spoon. This will keep any lumps from forming. Stir until gravy is boiling and bubbly. Allow it to boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Gravy will thicken as it sits. Add more salt and pepper to taste, if desired.
Makes 9 1/4 cup servings.
