Pasta & Bean Soup

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 T. Olive Oil
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. celery
    1/2 shredded carrots
    3 garlic cloves chopped
    3 c. chicken broth
    1 cup of whole wheat past cooked
    1 can diced tomatoes
    1 can Great Northern beans
    Salt & pepper
    Rosermary & Sage

Directions

Put Olive Oil in pan. Add onions, garlic, carrots and celery. Cook for 3-4 min. Add broth and simmer. Cook pasta to a dente. Add a spring of chopped Rosemary and a few leaves of chopped Sage to taste. Add pasta to broth/vegetable mixture. Simmer about 10 min. Add in can of beans and salt & pepper to taste. Let simmer about 5 min.or so.
Can be served w/ Parm. cheese and crusty bread for a great meal.
