Ingredients

Barley, pearled, raw, .25 cup
LDS Soup mix, 0.25 cup
Baby Carrots, raw, 112 grams
Onions, raw, 2 medium (2-1/2" dia)
Potato, raw, 1 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.)
Beef bouillon, 2 cube (6 fl oz prepared)
Chicken bouillon, 1 cube
*Lamb, domestic, leg, whole (shank and sirloin), separable lean only, trimmed to 1/4" fat, choice, cooked,, 4 oz
Cabbage, fresh, .4 head, medium (3/4" dia)
1.5 quarts of water
Directions
Cut all visible fat off a center leg slice of lamb, chop the meat and put into a pan with the bone, pearl barley and LDS soup mix and about 1.5 quarts of water and the bouillon/stock cubes. Bring to the boil. Simmer for about 15 minutes, then turn off heat and let sit for about another 15 minutes.
Bring back to a slow simmer, add carrots, onions (chopped) and cabbage (chopped). Peel and cut potato into smallish chunks. Simmer for about 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove bone.
