Dad's Baked Custard (sugar free)

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    4 eggs
    1/2 cup splenda
    1 1/2 tsp vanilla
    1/4 tsp salt
    3 cups skim milk
    ground nutmeg or cinnamon

Directions

In a medium bowl beat together eggs, splenda, vanilla and salt until blended.

Stir in 3 cups skim milk which has been heated well

Place 6 lightly greased ramekins on a large baking pan. Pour egg mixture into cups.

Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon. Place pan on a rack in a preheated 350 degree oven. Pour very hot water into the pan within 1/2 inch of top of cups.

Bake until knife inserted near the center comes out clean, about 25 to 30 minutes. Remove promptly from hot water. Cool on wire rack about 5 to 10 minutes. Serve or refrigerate and chill thoroughly.
