Introduction

This my mother's meatloaf recipe. Where she used to use veal, I use ground turkey, and I use skim milk and light bread. But it tastes just like mom's! This my mother's meatloaf recipe. Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 stalks celery, chopped
    1 lb. hamburger
    1 lb. ground turkey
    1 lb. sausage
    2 t. salt
    1/4 t. dry mustard
    1/4 t. sage
    4 slices bread
    1 c. warm milk
    1 t. worchestire sauce
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. chili sauce

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2. 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray and saute onion and celery until soft.

3. Heat milk 2-3 minutes in microwave in medium sized bowl. Break bread up into small pieces and drop them into the milk. Add eggs and spices to milk mixture and stir. Set aside.

4. Mix meats together. Add milk mixture to the meat and mix well. Shape into a loaf in the 9 x 13 pan. Shape diagonal grooves in the top of the loaf with the side of your hand.

5. Bake 60 minutes.

6. Pour chili sauce into the grooves in top of meatloaf. Bake another 15-30 minutes, until a sample taken from the center shows no red meat.

4. Mix meat together
