Penne with Meat Sauce

Introduction

Penne pasta topped with meat sauce. Penne pasta topped with meat sauce.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Ground beef, aprox 1.33 to 1.5 lb
    Newman's Own Sockarooni Pasta Sauce, 24 oz jar
    Sliced mushrooms, drained small can 4 oz drained weight
    Sliced Olives, small can, drained weight 2.25 oz
    Whole Grain Penne Pasta, 13.25 oz box

Directions

In large pot start water with 1 Tbs salt to boil. When boiling add Penne. Cook until done, (abt 10 minutes). Drain.

While pasta is cooking, in large skillet brown ground beef, drain, then add olives, mushrooms, and pasta sauce, simmer until thoroughly heated. Add to drained pasta, mix well to cover.

Alterations: Change the Penne for any pasta you like.
I have also added Onions to the ground beef while browning. You can also add a can of whole corn drained, or any other vegetable that your family likes. (Just don't forget to add them to the calories) Adjust or add any spices you want.,

Serving Size: Made 12 cups, or 8 1 1/2-cup servings
