    Coffee Cake:
    2/3 Cup Warm milk
    1/3 Cup cooked mashed potato
    1/8 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp traditional yeast
    2 2/3 cup flour
    1/3 Cup sugar
    1 large egg
    1/3 Cup butter
    1 tsp lemon Rind
    1 Tblsp Cocoa (optional)
    1/4 Cup raisins

    1/12 Cup cut up coffee cake
    1 Cup milk
    2 Egg yolks
    2 Tbsp soft butter
    2 Tbsp Brandy
    1/2 Cup sugar
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 tsp cloves
    1/4 tsp nutmeg
    1 1/2 Cup Peeled and chopped apples
    2 Egg Whites


Coffee cake:
Heat oven to 325 F. Line loaf pan with wax paper.
1.Mix Yeast as directed on package (Stire into 1/8 cup warm milk or water, stire in 1/2 tsp sugar and let stand 10 minutes.

2. Wash raisins and set aside to drain.

3. Combine flour and salt with a sifter. Add Raisins & lemon rind.

4. Cream Sugar & Butter - Add Egg and mix well - Add milk slowly. Then fold in the yeast mixture.

5. Combine the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients ensuring it is well blended.

Put in loaf pan and bake until done and top is golden.
Sprinkle with brown sugar while still warm.

Serve When cool or warm or turn into pudding.

Make Pudding: Heat oven 375 F

1: Cook and stir the coffe cake & milk for 2 minutes.

2.Cool these ingredients slightly then Beat in--
Egg yolks, soft butter, Brandy,Sugar, cinnamon, cloves, Nutmeg

3.Add the peeled and chopped apples. Set Aside

4. Whip until stiff egg whites

5. Fold egg whites into other ingredients.

6.Place the pudding in a greased baking dish. bake for about 30- 35 minutes. Serve with a sauce or as is....
