pat's crockpot spaghetti sauce

Ingredients

    1 tbsp canola oil
    2 small onions, chopped
    1 lb 93% lean ground beef
    l tsp dried italian seasoning
    l tsp garlic powder
    l/2 tsp dried marjoram
    1 (29 oz.) can salt free tomato sauce
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 (29oz.) can salt free diced tomatoes
    1/4 tsp dried thyme
    1/4 tsp died basil
    1 tsp oregano
    1 tbsp dried minced garlic
    1 tbsp white sugar

Directions

Heat oil in skillet over medium heat; cook beef and onions until brown. Add ital. seasoning, garlic powder, marjoram, tomato sauce and paste. Stir well & add to slow cooker. Add diced tomatoes, thyme, basil, oregano, minced garlic. Set cooker on low & cook sauce for 8 hours. About 15 minutes before serving, stir in sugar. Serve hot. Note: freezes well.
