Mom's Trip to Santa Fe Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

4 Slices Bacon cut in 1/2 inch pieces
2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, crushed
28 oz ketchup
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup white corn syrup
2 Tablespoons Molasses
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cayenne
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp red chile flakes
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
1 tsp barbecue spice
1/2 tsp Tabasco Sauce
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cap liquid smoke
Directions
1. In a heavy 4 quart stockpot, fry bacon until crisp. Add onion and garlic and saute until transparent
2. Add remaining ingredients, except pineappple juice and liquid smoke. Bring to a slow boil and simmer 10 minutes.
3. Add pineapple juice and liquid smoke. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
Serving Size: Makes 2 Quarts
