Chick Pea Vegetarian Stew

Introduction

Mixture of split peas, lentils, rice and chickpeas with tomato Mixture of split peas, lentils, rice and chickpeas with tomato
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1/2 bag (200 grams) soup mix (lentils, split peas, rice, barley)
    1 can chick peas (rinsed and drained)
    1 red pepper - chopped
    garlic powder
    salt
    pepper
    red pepper flakes



Directions

Bring soup mix and a generous amount of water to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 40 minutes to one hour until tender.

Rinse chickpeas and drain. Add to pot along with chopped red pepper and spices to taste. Simmer another 10 to 20 minutes or until peppers are tender.

Serving Size: 10 - 1 cup servings
