Oatmeal, Creamy Steel Cut with Banana

Introduction

Try a new oatmeal for breakfast . . . consider it the whole grain of oats! Ingredients

    1 cup (176 grams) steel cut oats, dry
    3 cups water
    2/3 cup dry millk, nonfat
    1/4 t salt
    190 grams (2 medium) bananas, sliced, diced or mashed

Directions

Combine oats, water, milk (dry) and salt. Boil uncovered 10 (nutty) to 20 (creamy) minutes depending on the consistency you like. Add banana until heated. Serve. Makes two pounds of oats.

Serving Size: Makes four 8-ounce servings.
