Tracey's Curly Noodle Soup

Submitted by: FOOLISHHEART

Introduction

My friend gave us this recipe and my husband LOVES it. He asks for it almost every week. It's quick and easy and low calorie so I love it too! I've made my own small modifications and this is my version. My friend gave us this recipe and my husband LOVES it. He asks for it almost every week. Ingredients

4 second spray of Pam Olive Oil
    1 lb Lean Ground Turkey
    6 cups Water
    1/5 Tbsp Garlic Powder
    1 Tbsp Dried Minced Onion
    1 tsp Black Pepper
    1 Tbsp Dried Parsley
3 packets (6 tsp) Savory Choice Liquid Beef Flavor
    15 oz canned Diced Tomatoes
1 1/3 cup Tricolor Spiral Pasta
    1 lb Frozen Veggies

Directions

Bring water to a boil in a medium-large pot.

While waiting for the water to boil, spray the olive oil into a skillet. Brown the turkey and season it with the garlic and onion powder, and 1 packed of the liquid beef flavor and simmer on low.

When the water boils, add the turkey and the remaining ingredients. Bring it back to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the pasta is tender.

Additional notes: When I have the time I use fresh onion and garlic which is wonderful, but this is my favorite recipe for when we need dinner in a pinch. Also, it's such a basic recipe, it's so easy to modify. Use ground beef or ground sirloin, switch up the vegetables, and play with the spices. Have fun and enjoy!
