Maple Pecan Oatmeal

Introduction

A yummy and easy to make oatmeal that will keep you satisfied. A yummy and easy to make oatmeal that will keep you satisfied.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg...you can use cinnamon...but it bothers me
    1/8 cup of chopped pecans
    1 TBSP. Pure Maple Syrup
    1/4 c. old fashioned oats
    1/2 c. water

    1 c. skim milk

Directions

Stir all ingredients together with 1/2 c. of water and microwave for 2-3 minutes. Stir again. Either drink the milk on its own or add 1/2 of it to the oatmeal mixture to make it creamier. I usually cut up 1/2 a cup of some type of fruit like bananas, apples, strawberries etc. and add it to the oatmeal The extra fruit is NOT included in the calorie count though.

Serving Size: 1/2 cup = 1 serving
