Introduction

When you buy the pkg of 15 bean soup throw out the "seasoning packet". Lots and lots of sodium. Add your own spices and save yourself all that extra sodium. Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 pkg of 15 bean soup
    3 medium carrots sliced
    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 cloves of garlic, minced
    Hunk of lean ham, approx. .5 to .25 lbs
    4 cups water or chicken stock (no salt variety)
    1 bag baby spinach
    Thyme, rosemary, Mrs. Dash spicy seasoning and fresh ground pepper.

Directions

Either soak the beans overnight or put in pot and cover with water and bring to a boil. Let sit for 1 hour and drain. Add all ingredients to crock pot. 4 hrs on high, 6 hrs on low. Stir in greens when soup is done and let sit a few minutes until wilted.

Serving Size:�Makes 12-14 one cup servings. Freeze in plastic containers and once they're frozen remove from container and put a bunch in freezer bags.
