Cabbage And Rice

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Cabbage, fresh, 1 head, large cut in 1 in pieces core removed
    Onions, raw, 1 large cut in 1/2 and sliced
    Garlic, 3 cloves smashed and diced
    Soy Sauce, .25 cup
    Ground beef, extra lean, 16 oz or ground turkey
    *Hunt's Tomato Sauce, no salt added, 2 cup
    Water, tap, 4 cup (8 fl oz)

Directions

using a large deep pan
Put oil in pan, medium high heat
fry garlic until light brown.
add onion and cook until tender
add ground beef or turkey and cook until no longer pink.
add cabbage 1/2 at a time stir till thoroughly mixed and fry until cabbage is cooked down to where it is partially wilted .
add soy sauce and stir to mix
add tomato sauce and stir to mix
add water and stir till mixed
increase heat to high until boiling
decrease heat and simmer until cabbage is tender
add salt and pepper to taste

serve over rice, I like brown rice
