Ground Beef Potpourri

Introduction

Easy to make, hearty stew that tastes great on a cold night. Low calorie, too! Easy to make, hearty stew that tastes great on a cold night. Low calorie, too!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 lb. very lean ground beef
    3 med. onions, chopped
    3 med. potatoes, diced
    3 carrots, sliced
    3 stalks celery, diced
    1/3 c. pearl barley
    1 1/2 t. salt
    1/4 t. pepper
    2 c. tomato sauce
    1 qt. water

Directions

Brown ground beef and onion in large stock pot. Drain any fat. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about an hour. Delicious and easy.
