DASH Apple Cobbler

Ingredients

    8 medium tart apples
    1 large lemon (juice and grated zest)
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    2 cups old-fashioned oats
    1 cup chopped dried fruit
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 cup water

Directions

Core, peel, and slice the apples and place in a slow cooker. Sqeeze the juice and grate the zest from the lemon and add to the apples. Add the brown sugar, oats, dried fruit, cinnamon, and water. Stir, mixing all the ingredients together. Cook for about 2 hours on high in a slow cooker.
