Chocolate banana pops

Submitted by: CONQUERGRAVITY

Introduction

This is an extremely simple 100 calorie snack to make - and healthy! This would be great to make with/for kids as an afterschool snack. If you are so inclined, you can add all kinds of toppings - chopped nuts, toasted coconut, various small candies - just roll the banana in the topping while the chocolate is still soft. Ingredients

4 medium bananas, sliced into thirds
6 oz good quality dark chocolate
    12 Popsicle sticks

Directions

There is no real "cooking" time on these - the cooking time listed in actually freezing time.
1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or a double boiler.
2. Insert popsicle sticks into banana pieces.
3. Roll bananas in chocolate to coat. You may want to use a spoon to help you get them completely coated.
4. Placed chocolate coated bananas on a lined, greased baking sheet.
5. Freeze for at least one hour.

If you are not eating these immediately, then put them in freezer bags/containers and freeze for up to a week or so.

Be warned - bananas sometimes darken in the freezer. Doesn't affect the taste though!
