Ingredients

    beans 8 oz
    1 ham shank, smoked(KNEE JOINT)
    pepper,onion
    1.5 tbsp. light brown sugar
    bread of your choice, buttered slices 2
    water for processing

Tips


Directions

2 quarts water,add beans and shank,onion,pepper,sugar,cook till beans are soft and starting to fall apart into a puree type consistancy....may need to add water for evaporation,try and keep covered,remove lid to reduce to gravy type consistancy for finished product....pour over buttered bread,stacked...
awesome....may be a small amount left over,but it will disappear too...(cooking time variies, once boiling,reduce to simmer......
