Johnson's Baked Chicken

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    2 good value boneless/skinless chicken breast( cut into 4 pieces )
    4 tsp minced garlic
    1/4 tsp. of Mrs. Dash spicy
    1/4 tsp Mrs. Dash grilling blends( chicken )
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    1/2 Tbsp of ground basil
    1/2 oz - 1 oz water

Directions

Rinse and clean chicken completely. Cut into 4 pieces( 6 oz. ea.). In a small bowl blend the garlic,blk pepper, mrs.dash chicken and spicy seasonings,ground basil. Place chicken into a baking pan ( not a cookie sheet ). Sprinkle on the mixture ( 1/2 on each side ). Add the water to the pan to help prevent sticking. Bake on 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until cooked completely( poultry should always reach 165 degrees in center although I prefer to cook to 175 degrees ). No turning of chicken is needed.
Only 6.0 grams of fat per serving
makes 4 servings. ( could be cut into 8 servings for light eaters ).
serving suggestions: serve with a fruit dish or a veggie , a whole wheat dinner roll and a low fat/low cal beverage.
